The seas are about to get crowded. Republic of Pirates, the city-building strategy game with real-time naval combat, is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 25, 2025.
Already available on PC through Steam and Epic Games Store, the game from developer Crazy Goat Games and publisher PQube invites you to trade, build, and battle your way through the Golden Age of Piracy.
A Pirate Republic, Reimagined
In Republic of Pirates, you start small — one ship, one crew, one grudge. Your goal? Avenge your father’s death and rebuild a pirate utopia across a fractured Caribbean.
The gameplay blends city-building and resource management with real-time naval combat, giving players plenty of ways to carve out their legacy:
- Construct and upgrade over 100 buildings to supply goods and unlock new industries.
- Recruit captains and expand your fleet with 8 different ship classes.
- Raid rivals, liberate islands, and add them to your territory.
- Balance diplomacy with pirate crews and trading companies — or just betray them when it suits you.
It’s equal parts strategy and swashbuckling, which makes sense for a game all about pirates who know how to plan and plunder.
Three Modes, One Goal: Domination
Whether you’re new to the genre or a strategy veteran, Republic of Pirates has a mode for you:
- Campaign Mode – Story-driven missions with a vengeance-fueled plot.
