Publisher Nintendo and developer Retro Studios have finally announced that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will launch on December 4. It will launch for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It will cost $59.99 on Switch and $69.99 on Switch 2. The upgrade pack will cost $9.99. A release date trailer was also released. Metroid Prime 4 follows Samus, as she explores the planet of Viewros for answers, she is “granted Psychic Abilities—mysterious and ancient powers that allow her to control the trajectory of her beams, operate mechanisms and open doors.”

After an unexpected accident, Samus finds herself transported to the mysterious planet Viewros. Scan your surroundings for clues, make the most of your equipment and weapons, and use Samus’s newfound psychic abilities—and her technologically advanced bike, the Vi-O-La—to traverse and explore the environment. You’ll need every tool at your disposal to survive and escape Viewros.
