PAX West 2025 in Seattle (photos, review) — MP3s & NPCs

This past weekend, PAX West took over the Seattle Convention Center for a four-day celebration of all things gaming.

The Arch building is where the video game portion took place, and major names such as Nintendo and Bandai Namco made their presence felt with long lines to play upcoming titles. While the big names took over one side, the other portion of the Arch building featured a bevy of indie titles waiting to be played.

A couple of blocks away was the Summit Building, where fans of TTRPGs and card games congregated. The area was filled with companies such as Hexwood Forge, Dreamhaven, and Lethal Shadows showcasing some exciting products. Attendees were able to test out forthcoming titles as well as play some of their favorites in the tabletop freeplay section.

The Summit Building also hosted a bevy of panels throughout PAX West. Pax Power Rankings with Ify Nwadiwe allowed attendees to shout random things that Nwadiwe and panelists such as Anica Cihla and Scotty Fitness would have to rank on the spot. PAX enforcers also got in on the panel festivities with Secret Video Game Night on Sunday night. This panel allowed attendees to face each other in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Overcooked, and Smash Bros Ultimate in order to win random DVDs. Folks in the crowd were also awarded random DVDs for simply joining the conversation.

Our photos from PAX West 2025 can be seen below. The 2026 installment of PAX West will run from September 4 through September 7.
