Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Whisper of the House.

In this section of the walkthrough, we help Jane’s sister with her cocktail bar, then move to the convenience store to help stock items on shelves, and finally, we head to the supermarket to drive out a very cheeky, very hidden cat.
Meteor Bar
We have jobs from Marwin, Miki’s Friend, and Jane. In this walkthrough, we’ll start with Jane and her sister’s punk rock cocktail bar.
We’ll head to Meteor Bar, which is to the eastern side of town, near the Showroom we did earlier.
Our job here is to clean up and to arrange furniture. We’ll start by cleaning up the mess.
Put the trash in the black dry waste bin in the center of the bar, and while you’re at it, put the non-empty drinks back on the shelf behind the bar.
The fridge behind the bar appears to be cursed, so go ahead and right-click on it repeatedly. You can open the fridge now – a good place to put cans.
You can also mix liquor into a cocktail by taking using the liquor with the cocktail mixer on the bar. If you don’t like the result, you can toss it in the wet waste bin, which is to the far left of the bar.
When you’re done cleaning up, it’s time to get decorating.
While you’re at it, note there’s a tarot card deck on the bar, if you’d like to get your fortune read.
Once you’re done decorating, settle the task to be done with it.
Marwin’s Convenience Store
Next, we’ll move on to Marwin’s No. 8 Convenience Store, which can be found almost exactly in the middle of town.
Along the way, we get mail from Fishie asking for help with moving things into his cabin. We’ll deal with it later.
Head on into the convenience store, where our job is to fill the shelves with goods. Also un-curse the display refrigerator here!
You will encounter more shelves as you unpack here, so don’t worry about running out of space. Also, you can move the shelves even after they’re filled up, so don’t worry about placing them right on the first go.
When you’re done, settle the task.
Sage and New Mail
Once outside, we meet a strange detective person named Sage, who then abruptly disappears after a phone call.
We also have new mail, so let’s have a look at that. This one’s from the “Great Scientist” EinSmart, who appears to have found a way to go back in time… in the underground lab beneath their grandpa’s room.
We get another mail shortly after, which is uh… ominous, to say the least.
As for our next task, we’ll go help Miki’s Friend at the supermarket. It’s located a little west of the convenience store.
Hidden Cats in the Supermarket
Our goal here is to find the hiding kitten. Before that though, have a look at the stall on the black carpeted floor, the one with with the yellow counter. The shopkeeper here appears to be cursed, so go ahead and right-click away.
You can buy decorations and furniture from the stores in the supermarket, by the way.
Another cursed item is a towel, which can be found in the textile shop to the far north.
Surprise! There’s a cat here.
The cat runs away, and by the look of the progress bar in the top-right, we’re going to have to do this 4 more times.
Next, have a look at the plate with coins on it, which is on top of the dress display in the apparel store.
Just above this display, there’s a cat in a red T-shirt sign. Interact with the cat in the sign to get it a third time.
Next, go to the far left of the supermarket to find the cat hiding behind a tiled jacuzzi.
Finally, head to the purple electronics store and you’ll find the cat on the lowermost shelf below the retro wooden speakers.
With this, the cat has finally (presumably) gone away, so we can settle the task. Of course, you can stay and buy stuff at the supermarket if you like.
We get a new email about Design Commissions now being on the Notice Board.
As for our other jobs with EinSmart and Fishie, we’ll cover them in future parts of the walkthrough!
